Pleasure and Pain

The wheels of life spin round
and all the forms dissolve
the force that is beyond
is struggling to evolve

The endless fights between
the pleasure and the pain
a quest to separate
the worthy from the vain

The circus of mankind
and all the fools on Earth
preserve a mental hell
led by an evil stealth

Our minds filled with desire
with gluttony and greed
we get out of control
and plant the evil seed

The torments and the pain
seem not to go away
and we so badly crave
our own salvation day

But we can rise beyond
the pleasure and the pain
with power of the soul
and a new world to gain
